About
Based in Well Hall, Eltham, Blackheath Rugby Football Club is a Southeast London institution.
The fourth oldest continually operative rugby club in the world, it was founded in 1858 and competes in National League 1, the third tier of the English rugby union system.
The club’s history is a proud one: one of only two clubs (alongside Civil Service FC) to have been a founder member of both the Football Association and the Rugby Football Union, it was instrumental in the first internationals played between both England and Scotland and England and Wales.
Aside from the First XV, Blackheath fields amateur, veteran, junior, women’s and girls’ sides.
