A creative and reflective Photography Zine-Making Workshop led by documentary photographer, videographer, and visual storyteller Zula Rabikowska. 

👐 This is a great opportunity to learn how to turn existing photography projects into a publication that will benefit your own practice and showcase your values, perspectives, and lived experiences!

✨💭 Zula will share visual prompts and tips & tricks for zine-making as a way to navigate and reflect on powerful global themes of community, displacement, division, and belonging. 

📝 You’ll then work with up-cycled photographic images from our collection and a variety of craft materials (scissors, glue sticks, card boards, coloured pens, tracing & crepe paper, vibrant stickers & tapes, and more), to express your creativity!

🫶🏾🌍 This workshop coincides with Refugee Week 2025 with the theme of “Community as a Superpower”, which invites us to explore the strength found in connection, collaboration, and care.

About the Organiser
Zula Rabikowska is a London-based documentary photographer and videographer exploring themes of migration, identity, and LGBTQI+ communities. Rooted in her Polish heritage, her work focuses on intimate, community-based portraiture that amplifies underrepresented voices. Specialising in authentic visual storytelling, Zula collaborates with artists, authors, and musicians while also working with commercial clients to produce compelling photo and video content. Her photography has been published by BBC, Rolling Stone, Bloomberg, and The Guardian, and exhibited internationally, with awards including the AOP Talent Award, Getty Images Grant, and Earth Photo Moving Image Award. She is a member of the Association of Photographers and Women Photograph, and co-founder of Rethinking Eastern Europe, a platform for Central and Eastern European creatives. Zula holds degrees from the University of Warwick and the London College of Communication and also lectures at Kingston University.
