A full day of hands-on hedge-laying at Woodlands Farm, learning both the practical skills involved and the reasons this traditional technique is used on the site. The day covers key topics including ground preparation, safe and effective use of hedge-laying tools, cutting wooden stakes, and the skilled craft of 'pleaching'.

Attendees should wear suitable outdoor clothing and hard-wearing work boots or wellies, and are asked to bring a packed lunch.
