Summer Open Studios is back, and this edition is especially significant as we mark our 40th year of supporting makers and championing craft

About

Summer Open Studios is back!

Start your summer at Cockpit Open Studios, celebrating our 40th anniversary as a leading specialist craft studio and award-winning social enterprise. Meet and shop direct from over 175 of London's finest artists, makers, and creatives.

This twice-yearly event is the only time Cockpit opens its doors to the public, offering a rare opportunity to meet some of London’s leading craftspeople, go behind the scenes in their studios to learn the details of their practice, and support independent businesses.

At the heart of this year’s event is our 40th anniversary celebration and an auction of 40 incredible craft objects made at Cockpit. And as always, visitors can explore the extraordinary world of making at Cockpit, from sculpture and ceramics to homewares, sustainable fashion, jewellery, and more.

Deptford highlights:

  • Pop by after work to enjoy the late opening on Friday night
  • Visit the shared Wood, Leather, and Weaving hubs
  • Have lunch or grab a hot drink at Spring Café
  • Discover the work of over 80 makers, from Loewe Craft Prize shortlisted artists to award-winning sustainable fashion designers
