A selected group of LGBTQ+ artists, academics and activists interpret objects in our collection that aren’t necessarily connected to LGBTQ+ histories

About

Ever looked at an image or object in a museum and considered there could be an alternative LGBTQ+ subtext?

Queer Eye for the Museum Guide explores the multiple ways in which objects can be interpreted and celebrates the LGBTQI* communities ability to subvert heteronormative narratives through camp, irony and humour. For this event a selected group of LGBTQI* artists, academics and activists interpret objects in our collection that aren’t necessarily connected to LGTBQI* histories with a purposeful LGBTQI* lens.

For this online event, a selected group of artists, academics and activists interpret objects in Royal Museums Greenwich collection that aren’t necessarily connected to LGTBQ+ histories with a purposeful LGBTQ+ lens.
