The art of the Moko Jumbie takes its heritage from West Africa and the Caribbean and is very much a unifying force acknowledging the strong spiritual and cultural links between Africa and the wider diaspora. Having travelled from West Africa the Moko Jumbie finds its home in Carnival as a playful spirit watching over communities.

* These Workshops are open to adults and young people aged 12+ based in the Royal Borough of Greenwich!
