About

Looking for something a little different this Valentine’s weekend? Step away from the clichés. Avoid the tables for two. Instead, bring your date - or come alone - for an hour of incredible, three-dimensional music performed live around you.

In the Dark is a c.60-minute live music experience held in total darkness - for both audience and musicians - beneath the legendary Cutty Sark.

No phones, no distractions - just sound, the space between it, and you.

Described as “The best musical experience I’ve ever had” and “The panacea the world needs right now,” this is the show to choose if you want to experience something extraordinary.

Following last year’s sold-out performance beneath the ship's magnificent copper hull, in the dark returns for one night only.

How does it work?
The space is in total darkness. You'll be seated throughout, and given a sleep mask at the start for full immersion. Around you, 30 world-class musicians will perform - but this isn't a concert, it's something else entirely.

The music doesn't come from a stage - it will move and surround you in multiple different ways throughout the experience. It’s intimate and three-dimensional, and without lights or distractions will absorb you and your mind in an entirely new way.

Some of the music you may recognise, much you won't, but the theme is life and love. Audiences have described it as mystifying, sublime, stunning, immersive, beautiful, transcendent, and more.
