Gold sun artefact

About

South London publisher Arachne Press celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2022. As a part of the celebrations, the publisher is hosting an art exhibition that showcases its successful collaborations with artists on book cover designs over the last decade.

Right from the start the intention was that Arachne's books would be beautiful, and that where possible, artists would be used, and the cover image would wrap all the way round the book. Now, ten years on, Stephen Lawrence Gallery is hosting an exhibition of Arachne Press book covers alongside the original works of art that were licenced or commissioned to create the cover.

A must-see for anyone with an interest in literature, the publishing industry, art and design. The exhibition will showcase work by artists such as Kevin Threlfall, Fiona Humphrey, Gordy Wright, Paul Summers, Camille Smethwick and Rachel Marsh.
